FAQs about flooring certified to Australian Standards
Which Hychem products are certified to Australian Standards?
TL6 is certified to AS/NZS 4020 for contact with drinking water; Deckproof PU-2-SL complies with AS 4654.1:2012 for non-exposed external above-ground waterproofing (Class III); Hyclad E passes AS/NZS 4858 for wet-area membranes.
Can TL6 line a drinking-water tank?
Yes — TL6 is a potable-water epoxy coating certified to AS 4020, with high resistance to hydraulic erosion. It takes foot traffic after 24 hours and reaches full cure in 7 days.
Does Deckproof PU-2-SL need a topcoat?
Yes. It is a high-build membrane that is not UV stable, so a Hychem recommended topcoat goes over it. It self-smooths to a uniform thickness and cures to a Shore A hardness of about 80.
